If a product doesn’t rate well, you’ll see Better Rated Products in the same category, so you can make a better choice instantly.

TruthIn Plus tells whether the product matches your health profile by considering:
✅ Diet preference (veg/non-veg)
✅ Allergens (gluten, dairy, etc.)
✅ Health conditions (diabetes, obesity)

So you’ll see a personalized flag:
✅ Green → Matches your health needs
⚠️ Yellow → Limited consumption
❌ Red → Not a good match for your health needs

Yes! To get accurate personalized flags & Healthier Alternatives, make sure your diet preference, health focus, and allergens (if any) are correctly updated in your TruthIn profile. The more accurate your profile, the more relevant the recommendations.

TIA is your personal nutrition chatbot inside TruthIn. It explains why a product is flagged, helps you find Healthier Alternatives, and answers your food-related questions instantly.

We do not rate single-ingredient items (like salt or ghee) or specialized products (like baby foods, supplements) where a simple rating isn’t meaningful.

TruthIn Ratings are based only on what’s written on the product label no ads, no brand sponsorships, no influence.

We’re constantly adding new products to the database. If you scan a product and it is not in our database, you can add it by uploading its pictures. It will first get an Instant Rating, and later our nutritionists will review and update it.

If you notice outdated or incorrect information, simply tap the thumbs down icon at the bottom of the product page (“Was this information useful to you?”). This flags it for review, and you can even reupload the product images. We’ll then review and update the product data.
